Illuminated Installation

The Brief

To design, build and install an illuminated 3D heart for Middlesex University’s atrium in North London.

By displaying multiple animations, the heart was designed to create a perfect photo opportunity for visitors to the site.

How we did it?

The bespoke illuminating heart featured a hand crafted, complex metal structure populated with over 600 custom designed hexagonal Circuit Boards (PCBs). Together, these PCBs made up a matrix of over 7,000 individually controllable LEDs, enabling a range of custom animations to be displayed.
